Smart Expansion in Limited Space
BIOMAR urgently needed a solution for the expansion of its storage capacity – quite a challenge, given the limited space available. Together with SCE, a solution was looked for and found: seven brand-new silos were incorporated into an existing warehouse by creating an opening in part of the roof and then sealing it up again – a challenging task for SCE’s engineers. The old roof is now partly supported by the new structure. The detailed and ingenious plans made it possible to integrate the new silos in less than six weeks. Moreover, the installation of the new square silos was completed without interrupting the production processes.
