Impressive capacity on a small footprint
The primary components of the mixing plant include a massive mixer capable of producing 20,000 kilograms of flour per hour and state-of-the-art ingredient feeders. The plant also features flour silos that can store up to 700 metric tons, ensuring a reliable supply even during extended downtimes. All of this was achieved on a footprint of only 360 m², thanks to SCE's efficient square silo solutions and the seamless integration of the storage system into the plant's overall construction.
Why the client chose SCE
Thanks to our extensive international expertise in the flour industry and the compact efficiency of our square silo solutions, SCE was selected to design and deliver the building, including integrated silos.
Aiding food security and employment
The company’s constant pursuit of excellence was commended by the United States Ambassador to Guyana, Nicole Theriot. She highlighted that NAMILCO’s expansion, achieved through its partnership with Seaboard, will promote food security and create employment opportunities for many. “The partnership is an impressive example of how companies can work to strengthen and diversify the economy, promote food security in Guyana and the region, and create well-paying, high-quality jobs,” the Ambassador said.
