Turnkey silo solution for Congolese flour producer
Context
To provide Congo’s inhabitants with fresh flour, les Grands Moulins du Kouilou (Pointe Noire) needed a complete flour mill building. The solution they were looking for had to include tempering bins, finished product bins and bran bins as well as a production tower and intake facility.

Complete project for hygienic storage
SCE was in charge of the engineering, production and installation of the steel construction, smooth wall bins and cladding. For hygienic reasons the floors in the production area are made out of concrete, which facilitates the cleaning process. The installation was assigned to a local contractor under SCE’s strict supervision. The execution of the project, from the very beginning to closing off the building, took less than nine months.
Trust in experienced partner
GMK chose to work with SCE because of our good reputation and flexibility. Our experience in the design, manufacturing and assembly of other flour mills in Africa also convinced them to rely on us as partner for this major project, which has a capacity of 250 tons per day.
